A Week in Beautiful Winthrop, WA

This past week we were lucky enough to spend a week in the beautiful Methow Valley, doing a week's worth of school assemblies and performances in local schools from first grade all the way through high school.  The kids were a fantastic audience - attentive, appreciative, and excited, especially about Irish dance and the bodhrans.  It was so much fun to do our show several times a day for rooms completely packed with children and young adults from the Valley.

We were also really excited to get to share our love for Celtic music with all the students - it's such a wonderful and joyful form of music, and it seemed to resonate with many of them.

The concerts were sponsored and put on by the Methow Arts Alliance, who were welcoming and organized and provided the entire community with this entire week of school outreach events, as well as ending the week with a show for the public at the Winthrop Barn.  The event was sold out, and we had a great time there with many locals from Winthrop.  This valley is special to us because we spent a lot of time on family trips there growing up, and then ended up filming the music videos for Willow's Waltz, Solid Ground, the Three Coins, It's the Little Things and Water is Wide there because of the fantastic scenery.
Thank you to Methow Arts Alliance for the fantastic week!  We will be back!
