Album Tracks Update

Welcome to all the new people on this blog who have pre-ordered the new album in the last few days!  We're back from the tour in the South and have a weekend of recording coming up where we plan to record our fourth song.  This is the first song with original lyrics on this album and we're really excited!  So - an update on the tracks we have laid down to this point:

March 5th, 2015

Auld Lang Syne is a new arrangement that we've been doing since the beginning of this year, and it is lots of fun to play and sing and dance along to.  Those of you who have seen a live concert within the last year (2014) may also have heard The Bandit and Queen of Argyll.
Queen of Argyll is by Andy M. Stewart and Silly Wizard, and it is a lively Scottish song that we LOVE to play live.  The challenge with recording it was trying to capture the energy of performing it live while in the studio, facing a microphone and silence.  I think we did pretty well with it and I love the track!  The Bandit is an original tune set by Willow, which is one of my favorites that she's ever written.  It's .... well... it's pretty rockin'!  This is the tune set that features dancing feet, djembes, dueling fiddles and much more.

Now it's into the studio for a weekend of recording a NEW song, which no one has ever heard before.  It's also only the second song we've recorded with original lyrics written by Greta.  The last time we did one of these it was "It's the Little Things" on Story Girl.  So we will see what happens when we hit that studio magic!

Thanks for following the blog and don't forget to spread the word about the new album far and wide to anyone you think would get some joy from the music we're producing!
