Iowa Irish Fest

The Iowa Irish Fest is a giant festival held in the middle of downtown Waterloo.  This was our second year at the festival, and it was also their tenth anniversary, so they really blew out all the stops on their entertainment and the band lineup was incredible.  The festival was held on two long streets and the city park, with tens of thousands of people in attendance.  We met some really great people and got to say hi to everyone who came back from our shows last year as well, which was awesome.  Our three shows were lots of fun, and the weather was perfect!  Something new this year was getting to introduce our Irish dance workshop/ceilidh class in the cultural tent, and it was so much fun!  Everyone was dancing and clapping by the end.  We also got to jump up onstage with the lads (and lass!) of Scythian to dance during their set on Saturday night, which was very memorable as well.

Thanks to everyone for coming out, did you have a good time?  We're having a blast on the Bound for the Waves tour and hope to make the Iowa Irish Fest a yearly tradition because it is just so much fun!

The song is Drums of Belfast, which is by Scythian.  Check 'em out!
Thanks again for coming to the beautiful Iowa Irish Fest!  We hope to be back again next year.
