New England Tour

We always enjoy getting to come back to New England and play a run of shows, and this year's was no exception.  The band played seven shows in Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and New York over two weeks and it was great to see familiar faces, meet some great new people, and play all our songs for you guys.  Especially fun was debuting a few songs from the new album!  Here are a few pictures.

My daughter and I attended your show at the Town Crier in Beacon a few months ago. We really enjoyed all your music, and it was a great show too. I pre-ordered "Midnight Sun" on Amazon so I could have it on the release date, and we have listened to it many, many times. I have one criticism: the mix of Solana's voice is too low - it's very hard to hear her over the music. I also found "Story Girl" on Amazon and to my surprise, the mix is perfect - Solana's voice comes through loud and clear! We also enjoyed all of this album, but I would like to especially complement you on two songs which have been done by others: I listened to several other versions of "Raglan Road" after hearing your arrangement, and yours is so perfect - haunting rather than (when sung by men in the first person) whiny (in a "woe is me" manner). Putting it in the third person was brilliant, and the sparse, sensitive accompaniment sets a beautiful mood, as do the ends of the phrases when you add the harmony. I also like the faster tempo. Good job! I heard "A [girl] you don't meet every day" sung by a man on the radio as a drinking buddy song or whatever. Your arrangement is so much better (I liked it when you performed it in Beacon, and I like more every time I hear it). The accompaniment is once again so perfect for your version. You women are geniuses in my book, all your arrangements and performances are so good. I can't wait to buy some more of your albums. (I did order the three Christmas CDs from your website, but I'm saving them for December - it's 95 degrees here today! Thank you for all your hard work. Please come back to Beacon next year. John
